Understanding your experience

Support that works with your brain, not against it

ADHD can make everyday tasks, organisation, motivation and follow-through feel harder than they need to. You might know exactly what you want to do but struggle to get started, stay focused or carry new strategies through once the initial momentum disappears.

I created my structured one-to-one ADHD program to offer practical support, gentle accountability and strategies shaped around the way your brain works. Rather than expecting you to fit into another rigid system, we can explore what is getting in the way, what already works for you and what might make everyday life feel more manageable.

How the program works

A structured program, shaped around you

There are areas we can work through together, but the program does not need to feel like another checklist you have to complete perfectly.

  • One-to-one sessions

Each area can be explored within therapy, with our sessions focused on what feels most relevant to you at the time.

  • Gentle support between sessions

Where helpful, I can provide reminder texts or emails between appointments to help you stay connected with what we are working towards without adding pressure.

  • A pace that feels manageable

You can choose a rhythm that works for you. Fortnightly sessions are generally recommended, but we can discuss what feels realistic for your circumstances.

The program

What we can explore together

Each area can be approached with curiosity and adapted around what feels most useful in your everyday life.

  1. Understanding your ADHD

Develop a clearer understanding of how ADHD shows up for you, including the situations, patterns and environments that can make everyday functioning easier or more difficult.

  2. Thinking patterns

Notice unhelpful patterns of thinking or self-criticism and explore ways of responding to yourself with greater understanding and flexibility.

  3. Your strengths

Identify the strengths you already bring and consider how they can support the way you approach work, relationships and everyday life.

  4. Organisation & planning

Explore practical strategies for planning, prioritising, remembering tasks and creating systems that feel realistic enough to actually use.

  5. Anxiety & stress

Find ways to understand and respond to overwhelm, stress and the emotional load that can come with trying to keep everything moving.

  6. Movement & stimming

Explore movement and stimming as ways of supporting self-regulation and expression rather than automatically treating them as something that needs to be stopped.

  7. Attention & motivation

Look at what helps you begin tasks, reconnect with motivation and support your attention when staying engaged feels difficult.

  8. Sleep & energy management

Explore how sleep, energy and everyday routines affect the way you function, and identify adjustments that may better support you.

Whole-person support

Practical support, without losing sight of the person

ADHD support can be practical without reducing you to productivity, routines or a list of things that need to be “fixed”. I believe therapy should remain personalised around who you are, what you are experiencing and what you hope to gain from our work together.

Some sessions may focus on practical strategies around organisation, motivation or follow-through. At other times, it may be more helpful to understand the emotional patterns, stress or experiences sitting underneath what is happening. We can adapt our work as we go.

Professional support

Professional support, centred on you

I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist, and my wider therapeutic work draws on approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. The approach we use will depend on you. My aim is to create a space where you can understand yourself with curiosity rather than judgement, while still working towards practical changes that matter in your everyday life.
